Attention students

oh_earwaxIt has unfortunately come to my attention of late that certain among you have been partaking in... shall we say, extracurricular activities. I must take this moment to remind you all that underage witches and wizards are not to consume alcohol, and that possession of such on school grounds-- even if one is of age-- will not be permitted.
The house elves have reported finding empty wine bottles in the Slytherin dorms during their nightly cleaning. I must say it saddens me that this action must be taken, but for the moment I am assigning all Slytherin boys to serve detention with Mr. Filch until the responsible party comes forward. In addition, the Slytherin dorms will be routinely checked for illicit substances, until such time as I can feel confident that there will be no further infractions.
As to the other houses, I do hope you will also behave in a manner befitting young students. I shall not like having to take such measures again.
