Announcement at breakfast

oh_earwaxWelcome, students. I hope you've all had a truly marvellous holiday and have returned to me bright-eyed and bushy-tailed to resume your studies in the new year.
But it occurs to me that some of you may, perhaps, feel as though you would have liked to have more time to spend at home with your families; a grave injustice that I have the utmost sympathy for.
That is why I've taken the liberty of sending invitations to all your families and guardians and invite them to visit Hogwarts for the weekend. I'm sure they will all be quite excited to have the chance to observe what you students do every day in their absence. I must ask you that, as they have no doubt been gracious hosts to you for the past two weeks of holiday, that you return the favour when they visit. I have complete confidence in you.
