Oct. 17th, 2011 06:46 pmGood evening, students. I do hope you have all enjoyed the beginning of this new term, and that you have all been keeping yourselves busy with homework without forgetting to have a bit of fun.
As the weather turns crisp and the trees put out their loveliest of foliage, I am delighted to announce that Hogwarts will soon be celebrating the season in style. I have arranged for a masquerade ball to take place at the end of the month, just before Halloween. I hope that you will all dress up in your most exciting of costumes and join your fellow students on the dance floor.
I also have another announcement that may be of further interest to some of you; the ball will be funded in part by you students. But don't fret: you will certainly be getting something in turn. Those students who choose to sign up will be auctioned to the highest bidder, who will become their escort on the night of the dance. Although I hope I do not have to remind you to treat them well and remain within the bounds of propriety. The auction will be held this Friday, prior to our first quidditch match of the season.
