Written Memo

[All teachers will receive a note on their desks, written in Dumbledore's distinctive hand.]

I'd like to see all the staff in the staffroom, if you please. We have a serious matter to discuss.

[Yukimi's note also reads:]

And I'd like to speak with you privately, Kazuhiko. In my office after the meeting, please.

It would be both illegal and unethical in either case, Kate. As educators, we have been entrusted with the well-being of our students, and to violate that trust is a very serious infringement. The most important thing now is to find the student in question and make sure they receive the help they need.

I've already spoken with Miss Rochefort, and she told me that what she heard was a rumor. I believe I have impressed upon her the importance of reporting such gossip to the proper authorities in the future, but even if what she heard is not true, that does not mean she made it up, or had any malicious intent.

With all due respect sir, are we discussing the same Lili Rochefort? Granted, my experience with her has been limited, but I can't recall an interaction with her that did not somehow involve malicious intent.

In matters as delicate as this, we would be remiss in our duties to simply disregard the words of any of our students, even those who may seem more recalcitrant than others. For the time being, I am inclined to believe that Miss Rochefort is speaking the truth until I receive information that would prove otherwise.
