Ah. The incident involving Miss Calogera was meant to proceed as quietly as possible, so naturally, the whole school knows.

Before the rumour mill begins milling, I think you students are owed an explanation, Miss Calogera's friends in particular. I am quite sure the news will reach the Prophet soon enough, so I don't believe I am out of line in informing you.

Miss Calogera has been taken into custody over a matter of Italian politics. Unfortunately, she has been implicated in a very serious matter, the full details of which I am not at liberty to divulge. I will, however, say that Miss Calogera has my unwavering support, and I shall not hesitate to come to her defence in court. So worry not, students: I am quite sure she will be back within our halls in little time.

It has also come to my attention that there has been a bit of commotion between our prefects recently, and I believe this as good a time as any to call a meeting. Could the prefects and Heads of each House report to me, please?

If you don't like what I have to say, don't look at my journal.

The point of the matter is that you should act in a way that is becoming of a prefect, not do something completely outrageous as you have done with that journal post. You mentioned things in your journal that's considered to be 'too much information,' of which I think you know what I am referring to.

That, coupled with the fact that it was public enough for even the first years to read, really makes it look bad for all the prefects.

It is not to say that you are not allowed to express yourself, but it is more of a fact that you should have done so privately with Mr. Larkin.

I doubt they think storks and elves bring babies to parents.

Highly unlikely due to professor Pierce's sex-ed class, but that does not mean that they should be exposed to the situation regarding your virginity, or lack thereof.

Your efforts are appreciated as always, Mr. Sawada, but I must remind you that what Miss von Tussle chooses to reveal in her personal journal is not the issue that we are discussing.

Although that does remind me of the other subject I wanted to discuss: safe relations.

My eyes might not be what they once were, but I would be a silly old man indeed to think that students are not exploring with one another. And to stick one's fingers in one's ears and pretend otherwise is, perhaps, the greatest disservice one could ever do them.

I am aware that some students may feel uncomfortable coming to Madam Pomfrey for such supplies, which is why it has been my decision to entrust such matters to the hands of you prefects, so that they may be more comfortable coming to their peers.

I'm not sure how well this would work Sir..Prefects are positions of authority and I think students would be hesitant to come to anyone in such a station.

You want us to distribute... contraceptives?

That is the idea, Mr. Shin.

O-oh, all right. If you think it's for the best...

Then perhaps a bowl set outside the dormitory would work better, Miss Thropp, so that students may get what they need anonymously.
