Ah. The incident involving Miss Calogera was meant to proceed as quietly as possible, so naturally, the whole school knows.

Before the rumour mill begins milling, I think you students are owed an explanation, Miss Calogera's friends in particular. I am quite sure the news will reach the Prophet soon enough, so I don't believe I am out of line in informing you.

Miss Calogera has been taken into custody over a matter of Italian politics. Unfortunately, she has been implicated in a very serious matter, the full details of which I am not at liberty to divulge. I will, however, say that Miss Calogera has my unwavering support, and I shall not hesitate to come to her defence in court. So worry not, students: I am quite sure she will be back within our halls in little time.


It has also come to my attention that there has been a bit of commotion between our prefects recently, and I believe this as good a time as any to call a meeting. Could the prefects and Heads of each House report to me, please?

Those who are Heads of House, I wish to heavily recommend that you guide your students in these matters, including those who are prefects. They often need the most guidance of all.

Such relationships are a part of growing up, but sometimes we need the guiding hand of an adult to sort things out. As Head of Slytherin House, it is part of your responsibility to ensure that such things don't spiral out of control.
